Description
Car History
The current owner of this elegant roadster acquired the car in 2010 when it was just three years old. It was delivered new and spent all its life in Spain, being used for relaxing drives along the coast. This generation of Morgan’s venerable roadster was introduced in 2004, and although it was almost indistinguishable from the outside, it spots very welcomed improvement underneath that long bonnet – Ford’s Duratec 3.0-liter V6. With 24 valves, modern construction, and unmatched dependability, Ford’s V6 is better than the old Rover V8 that Morgan used in just about every way. This engine delivers a respectable 223 hp, and since the V6 is shorter than the V8, it is located more toward the center of the car, making it handle better. As you probably know, one of the secrets of Morgan’s unique driving dynamics is its chassis, partially made of wood. So, when you have a roadster that weighs just under a ton, you have a vivid driving experience and notice every detail of how it drives, accelerates, and handles. And, by the way, it can reach 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, which makes it very exciting to drive.
Condition
This Morgan Roadster has covered just a little over 41,000 kilometers and has two owners from new. The overall condition is very good, with no damages, crashes, or exterior repairs. It was regularly maintained with no modifications to the engine, body, or suspension. The owner recently overhauled the brakes and did an oil analysis which came negative, meaning that the engine is in perfect condition. It is expected since Ford’s 3.0-liter V6 is known for its durability and longevity.
Interior
One of the best features of the Morgan Roadster was its classic but elegant interior, and, in this case, it has been enhanced with the legendary Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel. The wooden dashboard has full instrumentation, an audio system, and a clock. At the same time, the seats are upholstered in beautiful beige leather, which is in ideal condition and perfectly matches the exterior color. The black convertible top is also in great shape and rarely used since the vehicle was stored in the garage and driven in nice weather. The original Morgan interior cover is also included.
Exterior and Wheels
Officially called Connaught Green but more famous as BRG (British Racing Green), this Morgan is finished in the most desirable color of them all. A classic dark hue that perfectly suits the beige interior is the ultimate spec for any classic British roadster. The body is in perfect shape with no scratches or discoloration and with exciting details like fog lights, badges, and leather belts holding the bonnet in place (the sticker on the bonnet can easily be removed). The look is completed with the set of 18-inch wire wheels wrapped in Yokohama tires, along with the full-size spare wheel mounted in the back. The wheels might look like they are from the 40s, but they are brand new and lovingly recreated items designed to accommodate modern rubber.
Documentation
This is a privately-owned vehicle with appropriate documentation located in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The reports are clean; no proof of accidents, accident repairs, ownership, or legal problems exist. There are records of regular maintenance going back to 2020.
