Description
Exterior
On the outside, this Italian four-seater features a wedge-like silhouette, characteristic of most supercars of the time. The front is dominated by the iconic pop-up headlights, which are an absolute necessity for accommodating the flat, low-hanging hood. Moving along the sides, where muscular wheel arches accommodating the original 14-inch alloy wheels fitted with period-correct Michelin XWX tires are the most noticeable. Furthermore, a keen eye will spot a stainless steel dual ANSA, made by famous tuner Abart, at the back. This particular car is painted in an elegant silver finish, giving a sleek overlay to its aggressive stance.
Interior
Opening the doors reveals the Lambo’s lavish Nero interior, with the bucket front seats, whose condition is described by the seller as ‘new’, being the most remarkable. The same description can be used for the rear bench, which is spacious enough to accommodate two persons. Once seated, the driver will find himself looking at a four-spoke leather steering wheel with an elaborate instrument cluster behind it. Besides the speedo that goes up to 280 KPH and 9000-RPM rev counter, the dials include engine temperature, oil pressure, and charging voltage gauges. The dashboard is covered with dark gray Alcantara leather, giving it a soft feel and flat appearance that doesn’t reflect the sun’s rays.
Mechanics
Being the P250 model, this Urraco has a 2.5-liter V8 engine that produces 250 horsepower and an equally impressive 220 N-m of torque. This power is transferred through a 5-speed manual transmission, ensuring 0-100 times in just under 7 seconds and a top speed of 240 kilometers per hour. These performance figures, impressive even by today’s standards, made the Uracco one of the fastest four-seaters at the time. The handling is precise, thanks to an independent suspension, while capable and durable disc brakes on all four wheels ensure safe stopping.
Vehicle’s history
The Lamborghini Urraco P250 we have here was made in 1975 and currently has 78,000 kilometers on the clock. Throughout the years, the car was never used on the track nor involved in an accident. In 2016, it received an extensive overhaul, during which the engine and the suspension were fully rebuilt, while the underbody got a fresh layer of anti-rust protection. At the same time, the interior was completely reupholested and the car was repainted. Visual imperfections are limited to minor damage to the driver’s door, which will be repaired before delivery to its future owner. The vehicle is currently in Spain, where it has been registered since day one.
