Description
Car History
This “Guards Red” Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabrio was produced in December of 2006 and sold new in Spain, where it spent all of its life. The current owner acquired it in 2021. This convertible is a prime example of the Carrera 2 model from the 997 generation, which is known for its lightweight construction, high-revving engines, and uncompromised driving feel. Porsche purists often criticized subsequent 911 models for being too big and heavy, but all agreed that the 997 was the last of the classic line of cars. It offers a nimble chassis, naturally-aspirated engines, characteristic sound, and unique handling, especially in RWD form, like this one. This example is powered by a 3.6-liter, flat-six engine delivering a healthy 325 hp and more than respectable performance. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is possible in just 4.8 seconds with a top speed of over 280 km/h (177 mph). However, the essential thing is the 6-speed manual, which immediately transforms this red cabriolet from just another 911 to a rare collector’s item. The manual is a very desirable option that not only helps the car achieve its full performance potential but makes every drive an unforgettable experience.
Interior
The “Natural Brown” interior is strikingly combined with the red exterior and even further establishes this example from the rest of the 911 models. The interior is in immaculate condition, with no scratches on the leather seats. It is also well-appointed with optional sports seats, a Bose audio system, and a matching steering wheel. The only non-original item is the Kenwood head unit with touchscreen, but the tasteful upgrade fits the dashboard’s design perfectly. Even though this convertible was driven as a weekend cruiser in sunny Spain, there are no signs of sun damage on the gorgeous tan hide interior.
Condition
With just 43,000 kilometers from the new, the car’s overall condition is immaculate, with no accidents or damages to the vehicle. The last engine service was performed in 2022, while the brakes were overhauled in October 2023. The car was thoroughly cleaned, and an oil analysis was conducted, showing that the engine and the drive train were in ideal condition. The 911s have always had a reputation for quality, and when properly maintained and carefully kept, like this one is, they can last a lifetime.
Exterior And Wheels
The red bodywork is in perfect shape with no scratches or dings, and the convertible top has no damage. The color combination is superb and makes this example stand out from the crowd. This 911 Carrera 2 has Porsche’s signature “Lobster Claw” 19-inch wheels wrapped in brand-new Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

This is not a problem for the CoC. As soon as the sale is made, the garage asks it to Porsche Spain and you receive it under 1 week.
