Description
Car History
The seller acquired this beautiful example of mid-80s magic in 1997 in Luxemburg and imported it to Switzerland. This Carrera has been equipped with a standard 3.2-liter flat-six engine, delivering 231 hp to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual. The engine is fuel injected and capable of launching this legendary sports car to 5.9 seconds 0 to 100 km/h time and top, still respectable 245 km/h (150 mph). There are no records of any engine modifications, but the car was regularly maintained, with the last documented service done in late March 2022. So far, this black Porsche has covered 168,000 km.
Condition
The vehicle benefited from a complete professional repaint of the body and refurbishing of the engine, using original parts and components. It has passed the Swiss technical inspection, and its road is legal and registered. Perspective buyers want to know that the oil analysis has been done and the results are in order. In the videos, you can see that the oil pressure and all the gauges work correctly. There are no oil leaks in the undercarriage, the engine bay is tidy, and all the original stamps and markings are present.
Interior
The interior of this 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 is original, with the seats and door cards covered in leather. Compared to similar cars, this triple black example (body, interior, and carpets – all black) has some desirable options that collectors seek. The first of them is the leather seats with power options. Second, this example is equipped with air conditioning which is a welcomed addition, especially during hot summer days. Third, this 1985 Carrera also has a sunroof, power mirrors, and headlight washers, all of which add to the enhanced experience. The rear glass is heated, and there is an aftermarket stereo head unit for your favorite 80s tunes. However, the shift knob is not the original item.
Exterior And Wheels
All exterior trim pieces, moldings, and plastic components look in perfect shape, and there is no visible rust around the sunroof opening, a common sport in these cars. It means that the vehicle is well-cared for and used only sporadically. Interestingly, the owner did choose to improve the rolling stock of this 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera. Instead of factory-correct 15-inch wheels, this car has 16-inch Fuchs original wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. Of course, the rear ones are wider than the front. This is a common modification that helps with the looks as well as with driving dynamics. The tires were installed in mid-2021. The car comes with an original tool kit and spare wheel, showing the originality level favorable to the collectors.
Documentation
This is a privately-owned vehicle with appropriate documentation located in Geneve, Switzerland. The CarVertical report is clean; no proofs of accidents, accident repairs or ownership, or legal problems exist. There are records of regular maintenance going back to 2015.
