Dagens fans \u00e4r sugna p\u00e5 GT2- och GT3-bilar (bland andra versioner), men i dag kommer vi att minnas en av de mest s\u00e4llsynta standardmodellerna som kr\u00e4ver ett h\u00f6gre pris \u00e4n mer vanliga bilar &#8211; 964 Targa.<\/p>\n<p>964 Targa tillverkades i bara fyra \u00e5r och i tv\u00e5 olika versioner, och f\u00f6rblev ett av entusiasternas val i 964-serien. Med en kombination av elegant genomf\u00f6rd Targa-topp och utan att kompromissa med den igenk\u00e4nnbara \u00f6vergripande designen f\u00f6rblev 964 Targa ett mycket elegant f\u00f6rslag f\u00f6r 911-k\u00e4nnare som letar efter en analog k\u00e4nsla, en karakteristisk och raspig flat-six-motor och k\u00f6rk\u00e4nsla i det fria.  <strong>911-fans kommer att n\u00e4mna att Porsche under 964-generationen erbj\u00f6d en riktig cabrioletversion.<\/strong>  Men som alltid \u00e4r cabrioleter k\u00e4nda f\u00f6r sin bristande vridstyvhet, vilket i slut\u00e4ndan p\u00e5verkar k\u00f6regenskaperna. 911 cabriolet fanns med i Porsches sortiment fr\u00e5n och med modell\u00e5ret 1983. F\u00f6retaget uppgav att 85 procent av bilen var helt ny, med en design som var en utveckling snarare \u00e4n en revolution av stilen.  <strong>Den f\u00f6rsta modellen var Carrera 4, en fyrhjulsdriven version, vilket var intressant.<\/strong>  Carrera 2, en standardmodell med bakhjulsdrift, kom snabbt in i sortimentet 1990. Porsche erbj\u00f6d genast tv\u00e5 karossvarianter &#8211; coup\u00e9 och cabriolet. Targa introducerades 1990 tillsammans med Carrera 2-versionen. Den h\u00e4r modellen var s\u00e4rskilt intressant eftersom den hade en avtagbar mittdel av taket (precis som sina f\u00f6reg\u00e5ngare), en massiv B-stolpe med &#8220;Targa&#8221;-skrift och standard, panorama- och uppv\u00e4rmda bakrutor. Intressant nog \u00e4r 964 Targa den sista 911:an som har en avtagbar mittsektion. Alla efterf\u00f6ljande Targa-modeller hade automatiskt avtagbart glas eller tak. I dag anses detta vara en cool, analog touch och kr\u00e4ver ett extra lager av \u00e4garengagemang.<strong>  Det \u00e4r relativt enkelt att man\u00f6vrera Targa-toppen och f\u00f6raren m\u00e5ste f\u00f6rst frig\u00f6ra tv\u00e5 spakar som sitter i handskfacket.<\/strong>  Denna mekanism l\u00e5ser upp sp\u00e4rrarna ovanf\u00f6r vindrutan och f\u00f6raren kan sedan ta bort hela sektionen och se till att sp\u00e4rrarna baktill ocks\u00e5 lossas. Exakt samma process ska upprepas n\u00e4r du s\u00e4tter tillbaka \u00f6verdelen p\u00e5 plats. N\u00e4r taket har tagits bort kan den centrala delen av taket f\u00f6rvaras i det fr\u00e4mre bagageluckan p\u00e5 964:an, vilket ger ett noggrant utformat utrymme. Kritiker s\u00e4ger att 964 Targa utan takpartiet \u00e4r lika styvt som cabriolet, men det st\u00e4mmer inte. Motorn var en vidareutveckling av den befintliga konstruktionen med ett aluminiumblock och huvuden samt br\u00e4nsleinsprutning.  <strong>K\u00f6parna kunde v\u00e4lja mellan tv\u00e5 v\u00e4xell\u00e5dor &#8211; en 5-v\u00e4xlad manuell v\u00e4xell\u00e5da och en 4-v\u00e4xlad Tiptronic automatl\u00e5da.<\/strong>  Tiptronic var ett mycket avancerat system och kan betraktas som en f\u00f6reg\u00e5ngare till moderna automatiska v\u00e4xell\u00e5dor, fr\u00e4mst Porsches PDK. Den kunde fungera som en vanlig automatisk v\u00e4xell\u00e5da, men f\u00f6raren kunde sj\u00e4lv v\u00e4xla med hj\u00e4lp av + eller &#8211;m\u00f6nstret. Tiptronic var popul\u00e4r p\u00e5 marknader som vanligtvis \u00e4r mer ben\u00e4gna att anv\u00e4nda automatik, som Amerika, \u00e4ven om den extra vikten av systemet gjorde att 964 Targa f\u00f6rlorade lite prestanda.  N\u00e4r vi <strong>talar om prestanda kan standard 964 Targa C2 sprinta till 60 mph p\u00e5 bara 5,5 sekunder och n\u00e5 en topp p\u00e5 165 mph, vilket g\u00f6r den till en mycket kompetent bil j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med Corvette C4, Nissan 300 ZX Turbo och andra sportbilar i segmentet<\/strong>.
