Endast ett f\u00e5tal kan dock \u00f6verskrida bilv\u00e4rldens gr\u00e4nser och bli globalt k\u00e4nda kulturobjekt, definierande symboler f\u00f6r sin tid och eviga designlegender.  <b>Ferrari Testarossa \u00e4r en s\u00e5dan bil. Med sitt sl\u00e5ende utseende, sin kraftfulla V12-motor och sitt h\u00e4rliga soundtrack \u00e4r den h\u00e4r bilen fortfarande en riktig h\u00f6jdare n\u00e4stan 40 \u00e5r efter att den ursprungligen sl\u00e4pptes.  <\/b>Testarossa \u00e4r en viktig del av Ferraris historia och kommer alltid att bli ih\u00e5gkommen som en toppbil. Som en del av 80-talets kulturella landskap kommer Testarossa \u00e4nd\u00e5 f\u00f6r alltid att vara en del av bildr\u00f6mmarna hos den generation som v\u00e4xte upp under detta \u00e5rtionde. Idag ska vi ber\u00e4tta mer om denna legendariska modell.<br>\n\u00c4ven om Testarossa lanserades i b\u00f6rjan av 80-talet, b\u00f6rjar dess historia egentligen 1973 n\u00e4r Ferrari BB (Berlinetta Boxer) lanserades. Det var den f\u00f6rsta Ferrari-modellen med en mittmonterad flat-12-motor som gav en exceptionell hantering men hade flera brister p\u00e5 grund av den sn\u00e4va paketeringen. Ferrari var dock \u00f6vertygade om att den breda flat-12-motorn var det r\u00e4tta valet f\u00f6r n\u00e4sta GT-modell, s\u00e5 utvecklingen av Testarossa inleddes i slutet av 70-talet. Huvudm\u00e5let var att g\u00f6ra en bil som var bekv\u00e4mare \u00e4n Berlinetta Boxer, men ocks\u00e5 kraftfullare och snabbare. Chassit var helt omkonstruerat, liksom upph\u00e4ngningen och motorn. Som med n\u00e4stan alla Ferraris konstruktioner var det legendariska designhuset Pininfarina ansvarigt f\u00f6r formgivningen, och allt var klart f\u00f6r debut.  <\/p>\n<p>Den d\u00e4r dagen 1984, p\u00e5 Paris Motor Show, blev publiken f\u00f6rbluffad av den nya Ferrari-modellen. Testarossa var utst\u00e4llningens absoluta stj\u00e4rna och var en av bilsamh\u00e4llets st\u00f6rsta snackisar. Med sin distinkta design, l\u00e5ga siluett, breda bakre del och de omissk\u00e4nnliga sidoventilerna var den en omedelbar klassiker med ett utseende som fortfarande ser fr\u00e4scht och sp\u00e4nnande ut \u00e4ven efter s\u00e5 l\u00e5ng tid. Men \u00e4ven om designen stal showen var mekaniken lika imponerande.  <b>Bakom f\u00f6raren fanns en flat-12-motor med en 4,9-liters motor med naturlig luftning. Den hade fyra kamaxlar och 48 ventiler och sm\u00f6rjdes av ett torrsumpssystem.<\/b>. Systemet med torrsump var en sp\u00e4nnande detalj som g\u00e5r tillbaka till n\u00e4r Ferrari f\u00f6rst introducerade flat-12-motorer som t\u00e4vlingsenheter i Formel 1. Motorn levererade 385-390 hk (beroende p\u00e5 marknad) med ett vridmoment p\u00e5 361 lb-ft, vilket omedelbart placerade Testarossa i toppen av bilmarknaden i b\u00f6rjan av 80-talet med en tid fr\u00e5n 0 till 60 mph p\u00e5 5,8 sekunder och en topphastighet p\u00e5 180 mph. Men trots allt hade den h\u00e4r modellen sin del av brister och egenheter. P\u00e5 grund av den breda motorn var paketeringen fortfarande ett problem, vilket ledde till att bilens bredd var n\u00e4stan 2 meter (78 tum), vilket gjorde den sv\u00e5r att man\u00f6vrera i vardaglig trafik. Den stora v\u00e4ndcirkeln hj\u00e4lpte inte heller, och alla tidiga modeller var inte utrustade med servostyrning. Personer som Michael Jordan, O.J. Simpson, Rod Stewart och Mike Tyson \u00e4gde alla en Testarossa (eller n\u00e5gra av dem). N\u00e4r man talar om Testarossas popularitet \u00e4r det viktigt att n\u00e4mna tv\u00e5 kritiska \u00f6gonblick. Den ena var att han var med i en av 80-talets mest centrala tv-serier &#8211; Miami Vice. Den vita Testarossa fr\u00e5n 1986 anv\u00e4ndes fr\u00e5n och med den tredje s\u00e4songen och blev snart en av de mest k\u00e4nda bilarna i TV-historien. Dessutom var Testarossa den bil som valdes i det popul\u00e4ra videospelet &#8220;Out Run&#8221;, som definierade arkadk\u00f6rning i slutet av 80-talet. Namnet kom fr\u00e5n f\u00f6rtr\u00e4ngningen (n\u00e4stan 5,0 liter), antalet cylindrar (12) och TR som Testarossa. Bilen hade en ny front, st\u00f6rre hjul, en f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrad interi\u00f6r och en kraftfullare motor.  <b>512 TR levererade 420 hk och n\u00e5got mer vridmoment med ett h\u00f6gre kompressionsf\u00f6rh\u00e5llande och reviderade cylinderhuvuden. Senare samma \u00e5r presenterade Ferrari den sista versionen av sin Gran Turismo coup\u00e9 med flat-12-drivna bil, kallad F512 M, d\u00e4r &#8220;M&#8221; st\u00e5r f\u00f6r &#8220;Modificato&#8221;.  <b>Denna modell hade en helt ny utformad fram- och bakdel, exponerade str\u00e5lkastare, runda bakljus och en unik hjuldesign.  <\/b>Interi\u00f6ren f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrades ocks\u00e5, liksom motorn. Flat-12-motorn beh\u00f6ll samma slagvolym, men kompressionen h\u00f6jdes n\u00e5got till 10,4:1, vilket resulterade i en effekt p\u00e5 434 hk.
