Tukaj je razlog, zakaj bi moral biti ta kupe odli\u010dnega videza bolj znan in zakaj njegove cene vztrajno rastejo.  <\/p>\n<p>Triumph Motor Company je bila v 60. letih prej\u0161njega stoletja ena najbolj znanih britanskih znamk, ki je ponujala ve\u010d modelov roadsterjev ter \u0161portnih dvovratnih in \u0161tirivratnih limuzin. Leta 1962 je Triumph predstavil Spitfire, eleganten dvovratni roadster, ki je bil v proizvodnji skoraj 20 let in je definiral svoj segment, saj se je prodajal v velikem \u0161tevilu in na obeh straneh oceana.  <b>Spitfire je imel preprosto, a u\u010dinkovito konstrukcijo in se je izkazal za dobro osnovo za dirkalnik<\/b>. Vendar so Triumphovi na\u010drtovalci izdelkov takoj po predstavitvi sklenili, da bo kupe odli\u010dno dopolnilo ponudbo. Hkrati je podjetje za\u010delo z dirka\u0161kim programom z modificiranimi Spitfiri s streho fastback, imenovanimi GT4. Vendar so Triumphovi in\u017eenirji ugotovili, da je karoserija kupeja te\u017eja od roadsterja in da bo novi model potreboval zmogljivej\u0161i motor. Triumph GT6 je poudaril odrasel zna\u010daj, zmogljivosti Gran Turismo in \u0161estvaljni motor, ki je bil najve\u010dja prodajna prednost. GT6 s 95 KM in karoserijo, ki je tehtala 1.900 funtov (850 kg), je bil dovolj dinami\u010den, da je pritegnil pozornost kupcev in avtomobilisti\u010dnega tiska.  <b>GT6 je bil dra\u017eji od Spitfireja, vendar je bil tudi bolj razko\u0161en, prostornej\u0161i in hitrej\u0161i, kar je upravi\u010dilo ceno.  <\/b>Triumphov oddelek za tr\u017eenje je uspeh v Le Mansu uporabil za promocijo zmogljivosti; \u010deprav GT6 ni imel ni\u010d skupnega z dirkalnim programom GT4, je trik uspel. Uvedli so celo napol uradni vzdevek &#8220;E-Type za revne&#8221;, ki se je iz o\u010ditnih razlogov tudi prijel. Oba avtomobila sta bila britanska, podobnih proporcev ter zasnovana in gnana s \u0161estvaljnimi motorji. Seveda je bil E-Type hitrej\u0161i, vendar je GT6 Mk1 s \u010dasom od 0 do 60 v nekaj ve\u010d kot 10 sekundah po takratnih merilih veljal za dinami\u010dnega. Vendar je avtomobilski tisk kritiziral zasnovo nihajne osi, izposojeno od Spitfireja. Dru\u017eba je kritike glede vodljivosti odpravila z mo\u010dno spremenjenim zadnjim vzmetenjem, ki je zagotovilo veliko bolj\u0161i nadzor in kon\u010dno zagotovilo GT6 stabilnost, ki jo je potreboval za konkuren\u010dnost. <b>Oblika je bila izbolj\u0161ana z novim sprednjim in zadnjim delom, druga\u010dnimi odbija\u010di in podrobnostmi, podobnimi tistim pri Spitfireju<\/b>. Vendar in\u017eenirji niso pozabili na motor. Z novimi odmi\u010dnimi gredmi, novo glavo valja in sesalnikom je \u0161estvaljnik dosegel 104 KM. Ne veliko, vendar se je izbolj\u0161ala zmogljivost in celo poraba goriva. GT6 je po vzoru modela Spitfire dobil sodobnej\u0161i odbija\u010d, zadnje lu\u010di, notranjo opremo in celo spremenjeno zadnje vzmetenje. Zmogljivost je ostala enaka, vendar je GT6 Mk III zaradi izbolj\u0161ane aerodinamike dosegel vi\u0161jo najvi\u0161jo hitrost. Vendar se je Triumph kljub temu, da je postajal vse bolj kompetenten in zrel, leta 1973 odlo\u010dil ta model ukiniti. Triumph izdelal ve\u010d kot 41.000 avtomobilov v treh razli\u010dnih serijah.  <b>Triumph se je osredoto\u010dil na Ameriko, ki je bila njegov najve\u010dji izvozni trg, in se nenehno boril z MG B GT, ki se je prodajal bolje in je bil v poznej\u0161ih razli\u010dicah na voljo tudi z motorjem V8, pa tudi s \u0161tevilnimi drugimi modeli.<\/b>  Za\u010detek 70. let je bil odli\u010den \u010das za majhne \u0161portne kupeje, konkurenti GT6 pa so bili Alfa Romeo GTV, Porsche 914 in Datsun 240Z, ki so si od GT6 izposodili veliko oblikovnih re\u0161itev, konceptov in postavitev. Zato je leta 2007 dobil prav poseben poklon v obliki modela BMW Z4 Coupe (E86).  <b>Ko je BMW leta 1994 kupil Roverja, je kupil tudi ve\u010d opu\u0161\u010denih blagovnih znamk British Leyland, vklju\u010dno s Triumphom.
