Une voiture qui a d\u00e9fini son segment a donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 de nombreuses g\u00e9n\u00e9rations et a remport\u00e9 tous les championnats pertinents en cours de route.  <strong>Sans oublier le c\u0153ur de millions de fans dans le monde entier.<\/strong>  Un symbole automobile aussi puissant signifie que ses sous-variantes sont \u00e9galement reconnaissables et appr\u00e9ci\u00e9es. Les fans d&#8217;aujourd&#8217;hui se passionnent pour les GT2 et les GT3 (entre autres versions), mais aujourd&#8217;hui nous nous souviendrons de l&#8217;un des mod\u00e8les de s\u00e9rie les plus rares qui exige une prime par rapport aux voitures plus courantes &#8211; la 964 Targa.<\/p>\n<p>Produite pendant quatre ans seulement et en deux versions distinctes, la 964 Targa est rest\u00e9e l&#8217;un des choix des passionn\u00e9s de la gamme 964. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la combinaison d&#8217;une capote Targa \u00e9l\u00e9gamment mise en \u0153uvre et sans compromettre le design g\u00e9n\u00e9ral reconnaissable, la 964 Targa est rest\u00e9e une proposition tr\u00e8s \u00e9l\u00e9gante pour les connaisseurs de 911 \u00e0 la recherche d&#8217;une sensation analogique, d&#8217;un moteur flat-six caract\u00e9ristique et r\u00e2peux, ainsi que d&#8217;une sensation de conduite en plein air.  <strong>Les fans de la 911 rappelleront que lors de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration 964, Porsche a propos\u00e9 une v\u00e9ritable version d\u00e9capotable.<\/strong>  Toutefois, comme toujours, les cabriolets sont connus pour leur manque de rigidit\u00e9 en torsion, ce qui affecte en fin de compte les caract\u00e9ristiques de conduite. La 911 d\u00e9capotable a fait son apparition dans la gamme Porsche \u00e0 partir de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e-mod\u00e8le 1983. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que 85 % de la voiture \u00e9tait enti\u00e8rement nouvelle, avec un design qui \u00e9tait une \u00e9volution plut\u00f4t qu&#8217;une r\u00e9volution de style.  <strong>Le premier mod\u00e8le \u00e9tait la Carrera 4, une version \u00e0 transmission int\u00e9grale, ce qui \u00e9tait int\u00e9ressant.<\/strong>  La Carrera 2, un mod\u00e8le de s\u00e9rie \u00e0 propulsion arri\u00e8re, a fait son entr\u00e9e dans la gamme peu apr\u00e8s, en 1990. Porsche propose d&#8217;embl\u00e9e deux types de carrosserie : le coup\u00e9 et le cabriolet. La Targa a \u00e9t\u00e9 introduite en 1990 en m\u00eame temps que la version Carrera 2. Ce mod\u00e8le \u00e9tait particuli\u00e8rement int\u00e9ressant car il comportait une partie centrale du toit amovible (comme ses pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs), un pilier B massif portant l&#8217;inscription &#8220;Targa&#8221; et des vitres arri\u00e8re panoramiques et chauffantes de s\u00e9rie. Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que la 964 Targa est la derni\u00e8re 911 \u00e0 disposer d&#8217;une section centrale amovible. Tous les mod\u00e8les Targa ult\u00e9rieurs \u00e9taient \u00e9quip\u00e9s d&#8217;une vitre ou d&#8217;un toit automatiquement amovible. Aujourd&#8217;hui, cela est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme une touche analogique et froide et n\u00e9cessite un engagement suppl\u00e9mentaire de la part du propri\u00e9taire.<strong>  Le fonctionnement de la capote Targa est relativement simple. Le conducteur doit d&#8217;abord lib\u00e9rer deux leviers situ\u00e9s dans la bo\u00eete \u00e0 gants.<\/strong>  Ce m\u00e9canisme d\u00e9verrouille les loquets situ\u00e9s au-dessus du pare-brise, puis le conducteur peut retirer l&#8217;ensemble de la section, en veillant \u00e0 ce que les loquets situ\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;arri\u00e8re soient \u00e9galement d\u00e9verrouill\u00e9s. Le m\u00eame processus doit \u00eatre r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9 lors de la remise en place du couvercle. Une fois d\u00e9mont\u00e9e, la partie centrale du toit peut \u00eatre rang\u00e9e dans le coffre avant de la 964, dans un espace soigneusement con\u00e7u. Les critiques disent que la 964 Targa sans le toit est aussi rigide que le cabriolet, mais ce n&#8217;est pas vrai. Le moteur est une \u00e9volution du mod\u00e8le existant, avec un bloc et des culasses en aluminium et l&#8217;injection de carburant.  <strong>Les acheteurs avaient le choix entre deux transmissions &#8211; une bo\u00eete manuelle \u00e0 5 vitesses et une bo\u00eete automatique Tiptronic \u00e0 4 vitesses.<\/strong>  La Tiptronic \u00e9tait un syst\u00e8me tr\u00e8s avanc\u00e9 et peut \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme un pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur des syst\u00e8mes automatiques modernes, notamment la PDK de Porsche. Elle pouvait fonctionner comme une bo\u00eete de vitesses automatique standard, mais le conducteur pouvait changer ses propres rapports en utilisant le sch\u00e9ma + ou -. La Tiptronic s&#8217;est av\u00e9r\u00e9e populaire sur les march\u00e9s typiquement plus enclins aux automatiques, comme l&#8217;Am\u00e9rique, bien que le poids suppl\u00e9mentaire du syst\u00e8me ait l\u00e9g\u00e8rement priv\u00e9 la 964 Targa de performances.  <strong>En ce qui concerne les performances, la 964 Targa C2 de s\u00e9rie pouvait atteindre 60 miles par heure en seulement 5,5 secondes et atteindre 165 miles par heure, ce qui en fait une voiture tr\u00e8s comp\u00e9tente par rapport aux Corvette C4, Nissan 300 ZX Turbo et autres voitures de sport de ce segment<\/strong>. Sur la plupart des march\u00e9s, la 964 Targa \u00e9tait vendue au m\u00eame prix que le cabriolet. Cependant, durant cette p\u00e9riode, Porsche n&#8217;a commercialis\u00e9 qu&#8217;un peu plus de 4 800 Targas, ce qui en fait de loin le style de carrosserie le plus rare de la gamme 964. La plupart des Targas fabriqu\u00e9es \u00e9taient des mod\u00e8les Carrera 2, mais seulement 1 800 voitures \u00e9taient \u00e9quip\u00e9es du pack optionnel Carrera 4.
