Triumph GT6 r\u00f5hutas t\u00e4iskasvanulikku iseloomu, Gran Turismo v\u00f5imeid ja kuuesilindrilist mootorit, mis oli suurim m\u00fc\u00fcgiargument. 95 hj ja 850 kg kaaluva kerega GT6 oli piisavalt d\u00fcnaamiline, et \u00e4ratada ostjate ja autoajakirjanduse t\u00e4helepanu.  <b>GT6 oli kallim kui Spitfire, kuid see oli ka luksuslikum, avaram ja kiirem, mis \u00f5igustas hinda.  <\/b>Triumphi turundusosakond kasutas Le Mans&#8217;i edu oma j\u00f5udluse reklaamimiseks; kuigi GT6-l polnud midagi pistmist GT4 v\u00f5idus\u00f5iduprogrammiga, toimis see trikk. J\u00e4rgides Spitfire&#8217;i disaini arengut, sai GT6 moodsama kaitseraua, tagatuled, sisemuse omadused ja isegi tagavedrustuse t\u00e4iustamise.
