Samlet vejede DB4 GT omkring 60 kg mindre end standard DB4. Den v\u00e6sentligste \u00e6ndring var dog under motorhjelmen. Den 3,7-liters lige sekser fik helt nye topstykker med to t\u00e6ndr\u00f8r pr. cylinder, h\u00f8jere kompression og en revideret ventil, som alt sammen hjalp DB4 GT til at producere 302 hk og forbedre ydeevnen markant.
