Bilproducenterne eksperimenterer med forskellige former og l\u00f8sninger for at g\u00f8re deres modeller mere innovative, praktiske eller flotte.  <strong>Der er dog nogle undtagelser fra denne almindelige praksis.<\/strong>  Et s\u00e5dant eksempel er Porsche, hvis 911-serie ikke har \u00e6ndret sig meget gennem \u00e5rene. Nogle gange er det n\u00e6sten umuligt at se forskel p\u00e5 de forskellige generationer af denne bil. Men det er ingenting sammenlignet med Morgan, som har fremstillet praktisk talt identiske biler i \u00e5rtier. Det har dog ikke forhindret denne britiske producent i at blive en billegende med et godt ry. Og en af deres mest ber\u00f8mte modeller med den l\u00e6ngste produktion er Morgan +4. Ikke alene blev den f\u00f8rst lavet i to \u00e5rtier, men den blev ogs\u00e5 genoptaget ved to forskellige lejligheder efterf\u00f8lgende. Og oven i k\u00f8bet har Morgan for nylig lavet en hyldestmodel med et n\u00e6sten identisk navn og tilsvarende design.<\/p>\n<h2>Morgan-biler f\u00f8r +4-modellen<\/h2>\n<p>Siden starten i 1910 har Morgan v\u00e6ret alt andet end en konventionel bilproducent. Faktisk er de fleste modeller fra denne Malvern-baserede producent s\u00e5 forskellige fra de andre modeller, at de har f\u00e5et deres plads i historieb\u00f8gerne. <strong>I en periode brugte deres biler tocylindrede motorer fra en motorcykel og havde kun \u00e9t hjul bagp\u00e5<\/strong>. Og selv om dette arrangement kan virke m\u00e6rkeligt eller endog akavet, havde s\u00e5danne k\u00f8ret\u00f8jer en rimelig andel af fans og solgte godt. Det skyldtes, at de var smidige som en motorcykel og komfortable som en bil.<\/p>\n<p>Men til sidst besluttede Morgan at pr\u00f8ve en mere konventionel bilkonfiguration, hvilket resulterede i 4\/4-modellen. Bogstaverne repr\u00e6senterede den 4-cylindrede motor og et tilsvarende antal hjul, som bilen havde.<strong> Alligevel var alle de v\u00e6sentlige ingredienser til stede &#8211; letv\u00e6gtskonstruktion, h\u00e5ndlavet karrosseri og sporty adf\u00e6rd<\/strong>. Og disse blev tydeligvis rystet helt perfekt op, da denne model blev produceret fra 30&#8217;erne og frem til for nylig. 4\/4 var ogs\u00e5 banebrydende for Morgans genkendelige designsprog, som var forblevet stort set u\u00e6ndret siden da. Men i slutningen af 40&#8217;erne var der behov for en lidt st\u00f8rre og mere kraftfuld model. Dette f\u00f8rte i sidste ende til skabelsen af en af Morgans mest ber\u00f8mte modeller &#8211; den legendariske +4.<\/p>\n<h2>Den f\u00f8rste Morgan +4<\/h2>\n<p>Den helt nye Morgan +4, der blev pr\u00e6senteret i 1950 p\u00e5 Earl&#8217;s Court Motor Show, var baseret p\u00e5 4\/4-modellen. Den nye bil var dog l\u00e6ngere og bredere, hvilket gjorde interi\u00f8ret mere rummeligt. Den kunne f\u00e5s med to eller fire s\u00e6der, enten som cabriolet eller coup\u00e9. <strong>Og med en 2,1-liters 4-cylindret motor, der var l\u00e5nt fra en Standard Vanguard, var den ogs\u00e5 mere kraftfuld<\/strong>. Desuden var +4 den f\u00f8rste bil fra Morgan med hydrauliske bremser, hvilket sikrede langt bedre bremser. Alligevel var bilen hurtig og sp\u00e6ndende at k\u00f8re. Omtrent p\u00e5 det tidspunkt blev skivebremser foran en mulighed, hvilket gjorde bremsningen endnu skarpere. Det gav den et potentiale til at k\u00f8re l\u00f8b, hvilket blev bevist ved mange arrangementer. Den mest bem\u00e6rkelsesv\u00e6rdige l\u00f8bsejr blev vundet ved 24-timersl\u00f8bet p\u00e5 Le Mans i 1962.<\/p>\n<h2>Morgan +4 og dens tr\u00e6chassis<\/h2>\n<p>Det er velkendt, at alle klassiske Morgans har et chassis af tr\u00e6. Mere specifikt anvendes en s\u00e6rlig slags tr\u00e6 til dette form\u00e5l. <strong>Denne konfiguration giver tilsyneladende bilen en unik balance mellem vejgreb og k\u00f8rekomfort<\/strong>. Men hvor morsomt eller nyskabende det end kan lyde, er det faktisk ikke sandt. Det <strong>eneste, der var lavet af tr\u00e6, var karrosserirammen, der sad oven p\u00e5 den<\/strong>. Dette er i det v\u00e6sentlige en moderne fortolkning af den traditionelle teknologi til fremstilling af hestevogne. Den eneste reelle forskel var, at der blev brugt st\u00e5lplader som ydre hud i stedet for tr\u00e6finer.<\/p>\n<p>Denne us\u00e6dvanlige bodybuilding-teknik havde flere fordele. For det f\u00f8rste var det en velafpr\u00f8vet teknologi p\u00e5 det tidspunkt, som karrosseribyggerne beherskede godt.  <strong>Desuden eliminerede den behovet for dyre og komplicerede metalbearbejdningsmaskiner, hvilket s\u00e6nkede produktionsomkostningerne.<\/strong>  Dette var igen enormt vigtigt for en lille producent som Morgan. Og endelig var der en vis sandhed i den f\u00f8rn\u00e6vnte myte.<\/p>\n<h2>Morgan +4&#8217;s genoplivninger<\/h2>\n<p>Den oprindelige Morgan +4 blev produceret i n\u00e6sten to \u00e5rtier indtil 1969, hvor den blev erstattet af en Plus 8. Men i l\u00f8bet af 80&#8217;erne opdagede producenten et tomrum i deres sortiment og besluttede at genoplive den ber\u00f8mte +4-model. <strong>Den nyligt genf\u00f8dte bil var visuelt identisk med den fra 60&#8217;erne med kun minimale design\u00e6ndringer i mellemtiden<\/strong>. De to biler adskilte sig dog fra hinanden p\u00e5 det mekaniske grundlag, hvor motoren var den mest bem\u00e6rkelsesv\u00e6rdige. I de f\u00f8rste \u00e5r brugte den nye Morgan +4 en moderne 4-cylindret motor fra Fiat med tilh\u00f8rende gearkasse. Til denne lejlighed blev den udstyret med Fords motor, hvis ydeevne og p\u00e5lidelighed har vist sig i mange biler verden over. Det er <strong>klart, at en lille producent som Morgan aldrig ville g\u00e5 i gang med at udvikle drivlinjekomponenter p\u00e5 egen h\u00e5nd, da det ville v\u00e6re \u00f8konomisk umuligt at gennemf\u00f8re<\/strong>. En krop med en tr\u00e6ramme er ikke s\u00e5 stiv som en krop af st\u00e5l og vil b\u00f8je under ekstreme belastninger. Dette \u00f8ger f\u00f8lgelig k\u00f8rekomforten, samtidig med at chassiset og affjedringen kan st\u00e5 fast p\u00e5 jorden.<\/p>\n<h2>Den helt nye Morgan Plus Four<\/h2>\n<p>Efter at have fremstillet den samme bil i n\u00e6sten u\u00e6ndret form i n\u00e6sten 70 \u00e5r har Morgan for nylig besluttet, at tiden er inde til et nyt design. Den <strong>nye model, der blev afsl\u00f8ret i 2020, er blevet redesignet og ombygget fra bunden af<\/strong>. Men p\u00e5 trods af at denne bil, der nu hedder Plus Four, var den stadig tro mod fabrikkens karakteristiske design. Morgan har i det v\u00e6sentlige omformet den oprindelige +4 lige s\u00e5 meget, at den ser moderne og elegant ud. En motor er stadig en 4-cylindret enhed, men den er turboladet og fremstillet af BMW. Selv som standard yder disse motorer 260 hestekr\u00e6fter og et forbl\u00f8ffende drejningsmoment p\u00e5 400 pundf\u00f8dder.  <strong>Og disse motorer har et stort tuningpotentiale, som uden tvivl vil blive udnyttet p\u00e5 eftermarkedsscenen.<\/strong>  Morgan Plus Four kan f\u00e5s med BMW&#8217;s 6-trins manuelle gearkasse eller for f\u00f8rste gang med 8-trins automatgear. Nogle vil anf\u00e6gte en roadster med en s\u00e5dan gearkasse, da den tilsyneladende \u00f8del\u00e6gger k\u00f8regl\u00e6den. Men i virkeligheden er det en af de bedste gearkasser i verden, da den sikrer hurtige gearskift og en n\u00e6sten skudsikker p\u00e5lidelighed.<\/p>\n<h2>Kort om Morgan +4<\/h2>\n<p>Morgan +4 var en cabriolet med et valgfrit tag i coup\u00e9-stil, som denne ber\u00f8mte britiske producent fremstillede ved flere lejligheder. Den blev introduceret f\u00f8rste gang i 1950 med en motor fra Standard Vanguard og senere Triumph. Denne originale bil forblev i produktion indtil 1969, men blev kun genoplivet to gange i fremtiden.
