Jednalo se o vozy jako revolu\u010dn\u00ed Mini nebo nesm\u00edrn\u011b popul\u00e1rn\u00ed Ford Cortina, jejich\u017e vliv na automobilov\u00fd pr\u016fmysl byl obrovsk\u00fd.  <strong>Mnoz\u00ed brit\u0161t\u00ed v\u00fdrobci se v\u0161ak proslavili p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm sv\u00fdmi sportovn\u00edmi a agiln\u00edmi roadstery, kter\u00e9 si osvojili a dovedli k dokonalosti.<\/strong>  Seznam \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00fdch model\u016f je pln\u00fd ikonick\u00fdch jmen a nen\u00ed mo\u017en\u00e9 vyzdvihnout jen n\u011bkter\u00e9 z nich. P\u0159esto m\u011bly n\u011bkter\u00e9 z t\u011bchto voz\u016f v\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed dopad ne\u017e ostatn\u00ed, mezi n\u011b\u017e pat\u0159\u00ed i MG TD. V tomto \u010dl\u00e1nku se budeme v\u011bnovat tomuto roadsteru a zjist\u00edme, pro\u010d tomu tak je.<\/p><p> <\/p><h2>Co je to roadster?<\/h2><p>Roadster jako koncept m\u00e1 sv\u00e9 ko\u0159eny na po\u010d\u00e1tku 20. stolet\u00ed, kdy se za\u010dal prosazovat motoristick\u00fd sport. Stejn\u011b jako dnes pat\u0159ilo k mo\u017enostem zrychlen\u00ed vozu zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00ed v\u00fdkonu motoru a sn\u00ed\u017een\u00ed hmotnosti. Tehdy <strong>m\u011bla v\u0161echna vozidla podvozek s karoseri\u00ed na r\u00e1mu a v\u011bt\u0161ina majitel\u016f prost\u011b odstranila v\u0161echny panely karoserie<\/strong>. V\u00fdsledn\u00e9 vozy, kter\u00e9 m\u011bly pouze sedadla a mechanick\u00fd podvozek, se brzy za\u010daly naz\u00fdvat speedstery. Proto\u017ee se tyto podom\u00e1cku vyroben\u00e9 z\u00e1vodn\u00ed modely rychle staly popul\u00e1rn\u00edmi, za\u010dali v\u00fdrobci nab\u00edzet hotov\u00e9 modely pro tyto \u00fa\u010dely.  <\/p><p>V n\u00e1sleduj\u00edc\u00edch letech se v\u0161ak po\u010det vozidel v provozu zvy\u0161oval a vl\u00e1dy na n\u011b za\u010daly kl\u00e1st r\u016fzn\u00e9 bezpe\u010dnostn\u00ed po\u017eadavky.  <strong>Nejd\u016fle\u017eit\u011bj\u0161\u00ed pro tento p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh byla pot\u0159eba m\u00edt v\u011bci jako blatn\u00edky nebo kapotu.<\/strong>  Proto, aby roadstery z\u016fstaly leg\u00e1ln\u00ed pro silni\u010dn\u00ed provoz, v\u00fdrobci a majitel\u00e9 je zp\u011btn\u011b vybavili n\u011bkter\u00fdmi panely karoserie. Aby se v\u0161ak sn\u00ed\u017eila hmotnost, instalovali pouze to nejnutn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed, co jim ukl\u00e1d\u00e1 z\u00e1kon. To dalo vzniknout zcela nov\u00e9mu druhu automobil\u016f &#8211; roadster\u016fm. Jednodu\u0161e \u0159e\u010deno, jedn\u00e1 se o sportovn\u00ed, lehk\u00e9 dvoum\u00edstn\u00e9 vozy s minim\u00e1ln\u00ed v\u00fdbavou. I dnes je definice roadsteru doslova stejn\u00e1.<\/p><p> <\/p><h2>MG TD &#8211; jak vypad\u00e1<\/h2><p>Model TD je \u010dtvrtou generac\u00ed \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e9 \u0159ady T. Tato \u0159ada roadster\u016f vyr\u00e1b\u011bn\u00fdch v prvn\u00ed polovin\u011b 20. stolet\u00ed pomohla zna\u010dce MG z\u00edskat obrovskou sl\u00e1vu. <strong>V\u0161e za\u010dalo modelem TA Midget, kter\u00fd byl p\u0159edstaven v roce 1936<\/strong>. Tento v\u016fz byl nahrazen vylep\u0161en\u00fdm a modernizovan\u00fdm modelem TB a n\u00e1sledn\u011b TC. To zahrnovalo v\u0161e od svisl\u00e9 masky chladi\u010de a sklon\u011bn\u00fdch blatn\u00edk\u016f a\u017e po \u00fahlov\u00e9 sebevra\u017eedn\u00e9 dve\u0159e. Ve srovn\u00e1n\u00ed s odch\u00e1zej\u00edc\u00edm vozem v\u0161ak bylo z\u0159ejm\u00e9, \u017ee nov\u00fd MG TD narostl. N\u011bkte\u0159\u00ed z\u00e1kazn\u00edci se ob\u00e1vali, \u017ee zv\u011bt\u0161en\u00ed d\u00e9lky a \u0161\u00ed\u0159ky m\u016f\u017ee m\u00edt vliv na v\u00fdkon a j\u00edzdn\u00ed vlastnosti.<\/p><p>Uvnit\u0159 m\u011bl TD lavici pota\u017eenou k\u016f\u017e\u00ed a velk\u00fd volant z oceli a d\u0159eva. Podle receptu lehk\u00e9ho roadsteru nem\u011bl v\u016fz \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 zbyte\u010dn\u00e9 prvky.  <strong>N\u011bkter\u00fdm majitel\u016fm vadily n\u011bkter\u00e9 nedostatky, nap\u0159\u00edklad absence ukazatele teploty nebo paliva.<\/strong>  P\u0159esto m\u011bl na p\u0159\u00edstrojov\u00e9 desce ot\u00e1\u010dkom\u011br, co\u017e byl v t\u00e9 dob\u011b velmi vz\u00e1cn\u00fd p\u0159\u00edstroj. To samoz\u0159ejm\u011b proto, \u017ee ot\u00e1\u010dky motoru jsou pro \u0159idi\u010de sportovn\u00edho vozu nejd\u016fle\u017eit\u011bj\u0161\u00edm \u00fadajem. Stejn\u011b jako v\u0161echny ostatn\u00ed roadstery nab\u00edzel MG TD jen skromnou ochranu p\u0159ed pov\u011btrnostn\u00edmi vlivy v podob\u011b odn\u00edmateln\u00e9 pl\u00e1t\u011bn\u00e9 m\u011bkk\u00e9 st\u0159echy.<\/p><p> <\/p><h2>Mechanika modelu MG TD<\/h2><p>A\u010dkoli TD vypadal podobn\u011b jako model TC, kter\u00fd nahradil, pod slupkou \u0161lo o dva zcela odli\u0161n\u00e9 vozy. Nov\u00fd v\u016fz byl v podstat\u011b zalo\u017een na podvozku \u010dty\u0159dve\u0159ov\u00e9ho sedanu MG Y-type. <strong>Jednalo se o nov\u011b vyvinut\u00fd model, kter\u00fd nab\u00edzel \u0159adu technick\u00fdch inovac\u00ed a vylep\u0161en\u00ed<\/strong>. Za prv\u00e9 m\u011bl nez\u00e1visl\u00e9 p\u0159edn\u00ed zav\u011b\u0161en\u00ed s vinut\u00fdmi pru\u017einami nam\u00edsto odpru\u017een\u00e9 n\u00e1pravy. Tradi\u010dn\u00ed sk\u0159\u00ed\u0148 \u0159\u00edzen\u00ed nav\u00edc ustoupila syst\u00e9mu s h\u0159ebenov\u00fdm \u0159\u00edzen\u00edm, d\u00edky n\u011bmu\u017e bylo zat\u00e1\u010den\u00ed mnohem ost\u0159ej\u0161\u00ed. V\u0161echna tato vylep\u0161en\u00ed m\u011bla v\u00fdznamn\u00fd vliv na zp\u016fsob, jak\u00fdm v\u016fz jezdil na silnici. Podle prvn\u00edch test\u016f a ohlas\u016f prvn\u00edch z\u00e1kazn\u00edk\u016f nab\u00edz\u00ed mnohem lep\u0161\u00ed kvalitu j\u00edzdy a celkov\u00e9 j\u00edzdn\u00ed vlastnosti ne\u017e jeho p\u0159edch\u016fdci. K dispozici byla tak\u00e9 vysoce vylad\u011bn\u00e1 verze s v\u00fdkonem 57 kon\u00ed, kter\u00e1 v\u0161ak ve Velk\u00e9 Brit\u00e1nii nebyla k dispozici. Vzhledem k tomu, \u017ee se v \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9m p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b nejedn\u00e1 o dechberouc\u00ed \u010d\u00edsla, nebyl v\u00fdkon TD nijak z\u00e1vratn\u00fd. Nap\u0159\u00edklad jeho maxim\u00e1ln\u00ed rychlost byla 74 km\/h a zrychlen\u00ed z 0 na 100 trvalo t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 20 sekund. P\u0159esto mohl \u0159idi\u010d d\u00edky vysp\u011bl\u00e9mu \u0159\u00edzen\u00ed a odpru\u017een\u00ed p\u0159en\u00e1\u0161et do zat\u00e1\u010dek velkou rychlost. D\u00edky tomu mohl b\u00fdt MG TD na klikat\u00e9 silnici rychlej\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e mnohem v\u00fdkonn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed vozy.  <\/p><p> <\/p><h2>Pro\u010d se roadstery jako MG TD staly tak obl\u00edben\u00fdmi?<\/h2><p>Na konci 40. let se cel\u00e1 Evropa st\u00e1le vzpamatov\u00e1vala z dlouh\u00e9 a tr\u00fdzniv\u00e9 v\u00e1lky. Situace byla obzvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b t\u011b\u017ek\u00e1 ve Velk\u00e9 Brit\u00e1nii, kde p\u0159\u00edd\u011bly ovlivnily dostupnost mnoha z\u00e1kladn\u00edch potravin, v\u010detn\u011b pohonn\u00fdch hmot a surovin. Z tohoto d\u016fvodu si v\u00fdrobci automobil\u016f nemohli dovolit navrhovat a vyr\u00e1b\u011bt nov\u00e9 \u00fa\u010delov\u00e9 modely od nuly.  <strong>Jedinou \u017eivotaschopnou a proveditelnou formou takov\u00e9ho vozidla tak z\u016fstal roadster.<\/strong>  Ji\u017e p\u0159ed v\u00e1lkou se tyto sportovn\u00ed vozy obvykle vyr\u00e1b\u011bly s vyu\u017eit\u00edm podvozk\u016f a mechaniky z jin\u00fdch velkos\u00e9riov\u011b vyr\u00e1b\u011bn\u00fdch model\u016f.
